The people who stayed in Petra after it was carved couldn’t believe how the Nabateans did it so thought it was magic. The magic needed to come from somewhere so they thought djini did it. You know, like in Aladin. The rectangular monuments here are called the Djin Blocks and were believed to be the place where all djini came from.
